The Festival opens on March 6th  with West Side Story.  Relive the unforgettable experience of this 10-time Academy Award winning film, as 102 members of Festival Orchestra BOCA play Leonard Bernstein’s electrifying score and memorable songs with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim live, while the newly re-mastered film is shown in glorious high definition on the big screen with the original vocals and dialogue intact.

Bestselling author of The World is Flat and columnist for The New York Times, Tom Friedman is renowned for his direct reporting and sophisticated analysis of complex issues facing the world. According to Foreign Policy magazine, “Friedman doesn’t just report on events; he helps shape them.”

Flute, Piano, Violin & Orchestra featuring Sir James Galway, Conrad Tao & Arnaud Sussmann with Festival Orchestra BOCA and Constantine Kitsopoulos conducting.

Sir James Galway will perform Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D Major, K.314 with Festival Orchestra Boca conducted by Constantine Kitsopoulos. He will also play some of his favorite St. Patrick’s Day Irish Encores.

The 9th annual Festival of the Arts BOCA, presented by the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts and hosted by The City of Boca Raton, will bring ten days of dazzling and diverse cultural experiences to South Florida.

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City is a multicultural youth chorus internationally renowned not only for its superb virtuosity and brilliant showmanship, but as a model for an inclusive society that is being replicated globally. Founded by Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez 26 years ago, this groundbreaking program harnesses the power of music to fulfill the potential of every child.They have performed in Carnegie Hall, with the San Francisco Symphony, the Tokyo Philharmonic, and at the White House. In summer 2013 YPC gave a month-long tour of China and Japan and recently returned from its second visit to Switzerland, this time as artists in residence and the only American chorus invited to the 9th European Festival of Youth Choirs, where they received invitations to sing at festivals in Armenia, Estonia, Ireland, and Israel.

South Florida Parenting and The Boca Forum present:

SPRING FESTIVAL AND EGG-A-PALOOZA

Kids will hunt for candy-and-toy- filled eggs and will receive additional prizes when they find special eggs. No reservations are needed for the egg hunts, which will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., but don’t forget to bring an Easter basket!

Family-friendly exhibitor and sponsor booths will be located under the giant canopy that covers the amphitheater, providing a shady place for families to take part in the activities and information at each table, enjoy the stage entertainment and eat lunch or snack on items from our food vendors. The on-going egg hunts, bounce houses, food trucks and other activities take place on the lawn juts outside the amphitheater. In addition to the egg hunt, children will enjoy the bounce houses, visit with the Bunny, face-painting and making a bunny-ear hat. A bunny scavenger hunt is a great way to visit all the booths, with a prize at the end for completed hunt sheets.

Admission is $6 per person, with babies under 18 months admitted free of charge. All activities are included in the admission price. Free parking is available at City Hall and the Downtown library.

For the fifth year, the Shuzz Fund will host the event to raise the majority of its yearly funds to give shoes to children who need them the most in the United States, Haiti, Japan, Guatemala, Nepal, Jamaica and Venezuela. For the second consecutive year, Neiman Marcus has been an unparalleled sponsor behind the production of the show.

The 2nd annual Buffalo Bash for Autism Speaks is a wing festival where local restaurants and amateur cooks around the Palm Beach area cook their best version of the chicken wing. During the event, guests can listen to live music from local musicians and enjoy a kids zone with a bounce house, face painting, dunk tank and more! All of the proceeds from the event go to Autism Speaks.
