CENTRAL BEACH RENOURISHMENT PROJECT
Construction activities will resume between December 2016 - February 2017
The City of Boca Raton's Florida Department of Environmental Protection Permit and the USACE permit require beach construction activities be completed on or before April 30th due to sea turtle nesting season. The Contractor Weeks Marine Inc., was unable to complete the Central Beach Renourishment project prior to the April 30th deadline and has ceased construction activities. The contractor will have all of the equipment removed from the beach by April 30th. Weeks Marine Inc. will return to the project site upon completion of sea turtle nesting season to complete the project after November 2016.
