The City of Boca Raton offers a variety of family-friendly special events throughout the year. These large scale events range from honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. in January and a spectacular fireworks showcase on the 4th of July, to paying tribute to our Veterans every November and an entire season of holiday events for all.

Brazilian Beat 2017


Saturday, September 9     6 pm to 11 pm

Location: Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real (Federal Hwy, just south of Glades Rd)
Enjoy a Samba Parade by SambaLa Samba School, Authentic Brazilian food vendors and concert

Veterans Day 2017


Saturday, November 11    9:00 am

Location: Boca Raton Cemetery, 449 SW 4th Avenue
Featuring veterans groups, City officials, music by Ft. Lauderdale Highlanders and Boca Raton Community High School Band; drills by Boca Raton Community High School NJROTC; and Boca Raton Police and Fire Honor Guards. Volunteers provided by Boca Raton Kiwanis.

Tree Lighting 2017


Wednesday, November 22      5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Location: Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real (Federal Hwy, just south of Glades Road)
Come kick-off the Holiday season with our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be the traditional holiday tree lighting, stage show, rides, games, snow and pictures with Santa( for a fee).

Holiday Street Parade 2017


Wednesday, December 6     7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us for our 47th Annual Holiday Street Parade. This year’s parade theme will be “Light Up Boca” Parade route begins at Federal Hwy & SE 7th Street, traveling north to Mizner Park Amphitheater.

Boat Parade 2017


Saturday, December 16     6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Intracoastal Waterway starting at the C-15 canal (Boca Raton-Delray Beach city limits) traveling south to Hillsboro Bridge
Entering your boat in the 41st Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade is the perfect way to experience the Holiday season! Otherwise, enjoy the parade from the Red Reef Park (west), the Wild Flower Property or Silver Palm Park. A link to the application will be available here after 8/1/17.

ESTIMATE BRIDGE CLOSING TIMES: Bridges are held in the up position for approximately 45 minutes
• 6:50 – Spanish River
• 7:20 – Palmetto Park
• 7:30 – Camino Real
Cost: Free boat entries to participate in the parade. Free viewing areas: Red Reef Park (west), the Wild Flower Property or Silver Palm Park.

10:30 am to 11:00 am: March from MLK Jr Memorial to Sanborn Square featuring the Boca Raton Community High School Band and local groups
11:00 am to 2:00 pm: Sanborn Sq (72 N Federal Hwy)
Celebration with family activities, face painting, rides, slides and vendors
