  • Agency: FDOT
  • Proposed Start / End Date: 11/7/19 - Late 2023
  • Hours of Work: Ongoing | View closures for specific hours
  • Type of Closure: Partial & Full Closures
  • Scope of Work: 95 Express Lanes Phase 3B-2 will extend the existing Express Lanes north from just south of Glades Road to south of Linton Boulevard in Palm Beach County. One lane will be added and the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will be converted to create two Express Lanes in each direction; the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Access to the Express Lanes will be provided via two designated ingress and egress locations—between Glades Road and Spanish River Boulevard and between Yamato Road and Linton Boulevard. The scope of work includes reconfiguration of the SR 808/Glades Road Interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Additional project improvements include overhead sign structure installation, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Express Lane markers, new signalization, lighting, signing and pavement markings and ramp signalization at five interchanges from Glades Road to Linton Boulevard. Shoulder-mounted sound barrier walls will be constructed along I-95 northbound between Clint Moore Road and Linton Boulevard, ground-mounted sound walls will be installed on the south side of Yamato Road east of I-95 adjacent to the University Heights Community and along I-95 northbound south of Linton Boulevard adjacent to the Tierra Verde Community. The Clint Moore Road Bridge over I-95 will be fully reconstructed and the Glades Road bridge over the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) railroad tracks and Military Trail and the I-95 bridge over the C-15 Canal (between Peninsula Drive and Linton Boulevard) will be widened.

Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) Implementation

Update: Monday, January 30, 3:15pm

The Glades Road at I-95 Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) is now OPEN.

  • Please slow down (35 mph) and use caution as you approach the interchange as the existing westbound movement will become the new eastbound movement and the existing eastbound movement will be the new westbound movement.
  • Use the overhead signage, signals and pavement markings to navigate the new configuration.
  • Law enforcement officers will be on site to assist motorists.

The DDI is open in a temporary configuration with three lanes open for motorists in each direction (East-West). A fourth lane in each direction will be opened once drainage installation and additional work is completed. Additionally, two 7-foot bike lanes will be open for cyclists in each direction. To ensure pedestrian safety, the norther sidewalk will remain closed, and pedestrians will be rerouted to the southern sidewalk at Airport Road and Renaissance Way.

For the most recent closures, visit FDOT's project webpage.

Clint Moore Road Impact

The two inside lanes of the Clint Moore Road bridge over I-95 are open to traffic. The outside lanes remain closed to facilitate minor drainage work, paving and fencing operations. To ensure public safety, pedestrian and cyclist access will not be permitted until the outside lanes are reopened, currently anticipated early January 2023.
