I-95 Interchange at Spanish River Blvd


The I-95 Interchange at Spanish River Blvd project, overseen by the Florida Department of Transportation, will provide direct access to Spanish River Blvd from I-95 as well as Yamato Road, with 13 bridges being constructed as part of the interchange. In addition to the interchange, other improvements will be made, such as widening Spanish River Boulevard west of FAU Boulevard, signalized intersection improvements, the addition of auxiliary lanes on Yamato Road, and sound wall construction along Yamato Road and on the east side of I-95 north of Yamato Road.  In addition, the El Rio Trail will have its north and south sections connected in the form of an underpass at Yamato Road and the CSX Railway, seamlessly connecting both sections, allowing bicyclists and pedestrians to avoid automobile traffic at Yamato Road completely.

Turnpike Interchange at Glades Road


The Turnpike Interchange at Glades Road project, overseen by the Florida Department of Transportation, is designed to help improve traffic flow at the Turnpike’s existing Glades Road interchange.  These improvements include widening the exit ramp from northbound Turnpike to Glades Road to two lanes, constructing an additional right turn lane from the Turnpike off ramp to westbound Glades Road, constructing an additional right turn lane from westbound Glades Road to the Turnpike entrance, painting the existing Turnpike bridge over Glades Road, and adding new signals, lighting, landscaping and drainage improvements.

St. Andrews Boulevard Resurfacing


This project will involve the milling and resurfacing of St. Andrews Boulevard between Glades Road and Palmetto Park Road. Construction will begin on September 5, 2017 and extend for a duration of 150 days, with an expected completion date of February 2, 2018. Vehicles will be able to travel northbound and southbound along St. Andrews Blvd during this time, however, St. Andrews Blvd may be reduced to one (1) travel lane periodically to allow for the milling and resurfacing work to be completed.

SW 18th Street Resurfacing


This project will involve the resurfacing of SW 18th Street between Dixie Highway and the El Rio Canal Bridge (approximately 1400 feet west of Dixie Highway).  Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin early March 2018 and will extend for a duration of 210 working days, with a tentative completion date around October 2018.  Vehicles will be able to travel east and westbound along SW 18th Street during this time, however, SW 18th Street may be reduced to one (1) travel lane periodically to allow for the work to be completed.

Camino Real Intracoastal Waterway Bridge


The Camino Real Intracoastal Waterway Bridge project, overseen by Palm Beach County Roads & Bridges, will result in a complete renovation of the existing Camino Real bridge.  The renovation will require the complete closure of the Camino Real bridge to vehicles and pedestrians for a period lasting approximately 12 months.

SW 12th Avenue Resurfacing


The SW 12th Avenue Resurfacing project, overseen by the City of Boca Raton Engineering Division, will result in the milling and resurfacing of SW 12th Avenue between Camino Real and SW 18th Street. Traffic on segments of SW 12th Avenue may be diverted and detoured as needed during the milling and resurfacing operations.

Villa Rica Subdivision Resurfacing


The Villa Rica Subdivision Resurfacing project, overseen by the City of Boca Raton Engineering Division, will result in the resurfacing of streets within the Villa Rica Subdivision, located between Federal Highway & Dixie Highway, from NE 32nd Street to Spanish River Boulevard.

I-95 Express Lanes


The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing Phase 3B-1 of the I-95 Express Lane project, continuing express lanes constructed and currently under construction in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties north toward Glades Road. The purpose of the 95 Express Lanes is to improve mobility, relieve congestion, provide additional travel options, enhance transit services, accommodate future growth and development in the region, enhance emergency evacuation, and improve system connectivity between key limited access facilities in South Florida.
