Florida Atlantic University Research Gallery

At Gumbo Limbo, Florida Atlantic University's Department of Biological Sciences has an active research laboratory with a visitors’ gallery open to the public. From the gallery, sea turtle hatchlings can be seen during the summer and fall months. Hard-working students can be seen maintaining the lab year-round. Who We Are

The FAU Marine Science Laboratory’s faculty and students study marine organisms such as sea turtle hatchlings, sharks, rays, and marine plants to see how they interact with their environment. Today, the marine lab hosts the work of six principal investigators who give students the opportunity to participate in ongoing research. These world-renowned scientists offer students a clearer understanding of the scientific process through their active participation and allow students to expand their knowledge in their field of interest.
