5. Application Rules (Check each box as you read and understand.)

   1. Applications are open from April 12, 2023 to June 20, 2023. Applications will close at 5:00pm on June 20th.
   2. Bands must submit a two song demo video of a live performance (not a music video) with a URL link (YouTube or Vimeo).
   3. Lyrics cannot include profanity, derogatory remarks, sexually explicit content or violence.
   4. The finalist of each category will be selected and notified by email by July 10, 2023 to compete at the Battle of the Bands.
   5. For the purpose of this competition, "band" is defined as three or more people with at least two people playing a musical instrument.
   6. Bands will compete in one of two categories: Teen Competition or 20+ Competition.
   7. Age category will be determined by the majority of the band members' ages.
   8. Finalists under 18 years old will need to submit a Parental Consent Form.

42. Band Finalist Rules (Check each box as you read and understand.)

    1. Bands must bring their own equipment and instruments. Backline (microphones and a drum set) will be provided by Mizner Park Amphitheater.
    2. Bands will have 10 minutes to set up.
    3. Bands can perform sets up to 15 minutes.
    4. Only the band members listed on the Application Form will be allowed on stage. Last minute changes must be submitted in writing.
    5. The removal of clothing and the use of obscene language and/or gesture are prohibited and will result in the band being disqualified.
    6. Call time is 4:00pm on August 4, 2023 for check-in and sound check.
    7. Mizner Park Amphitheater staff reserves the right to end a performance prematurely or remove the band from the lineup if the band does not fully comply with the rules.
    8. A band representative/legal guardian from each Finalist band must submit a New Vendor Request Form.
    9. The New Vendor Request Form will only be submitted for the winners, in order to recieve the $2500 payment from the City of Boca Raton.
    10. Each band member must submit a Photo/Video Release and a Performance Indemnity Agreement.
