March 9, 2021 Municipal Election

The purpose of the municipal election is to elect Council members to fill vacant seats C and D and any other seat(s) that may become vacant.  The official qualifying period for the March 9, 2021 election begins at 8:00 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 and ends promptly at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2020.  The Boca Raton City Clerk is the official qualifying officer for City elections. 

The electorate will also be voting on two Charter amendments (click below for the Ballot Language for the Proposed Charter Amendments):

  1. Amending the Residency Requirements for City Council Candidates (Including Candidates for Mayor)
  2. Requiring Signatures of 200 Electors to Qualify as a Candidate for City Council and Mayor

The deadline to register to vote in the March 9 Municipal Election is Monday, February 8. You can register to vote on the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections website.  

The deadline to request a Vote by Mail ballot is Saturday, February 27, 5:00 pm.
