Get a Library Card
September Is Library Card Sign-Up Month!
The Boca Raton Public Library joins the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to encourage everyone to sign up for the most important card of all -- a library card -- at their local public library. This year, Marley Dias, founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks, is taking on a new role as honorary chair of Library Card Sign-Up Month to help promote the value of libraries and encourage everyone to get a card. Even if you already have your own library card, we encourage you to spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family members of all the benefits of a card.
With a library card, you can check out, download, or stream over 800,000 items from our Digital Library, such as movies, music, eBooks, and audiobooks. Enjoy educational classes for all ages, book clubs, story times, and more. Check out unique items such as mobile hotspots, cake pans, chess sets, jigsaw puzzles, Citizen Science Kits, and STEM and Literacy Backpacks, along with our diverse collection of physical books, video games, DVDs, and music CDs. There's something for everyone!
