Get a Library Card
With a library card, you can check out, download, or stream over 800,000 items from our Digital Library, such as movies, music, eBooks, and audiobooks. Enjoy educational classes for all ages, book clubs, story times, and more. Check out unique items such as mobile hotspots, cake pans, chess sets, jigsaw puzzles, Citizen Science Kits, and STEM and Literacy Backpacks, along with our diverse collection of physical books, video games, DVDs, and music CDs. There's something for everyone!
To register for a new library card, please visit the Account Services desk at either library location. Make sure to bring your photo ID and proof of residency. If you are unable to visit us in person to register for a new library card, please send us an email request at brpl@myboca.us. Residents

Children/dependents must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, who must show their photo ID and proof of residency on behalf of the child/dependent.
Nonresidents
If you reside outside the City of Boca Raton, you may purchase an individual card for a non-refundable $200 annual fee, or a family card (immediate family only) for a non-refundable $300 annual fee.
If a library card was created in error based on an incorrect or unapproved residential address, the card will be converted to a nonresident card and be set to expire in 60 days in order to allow time to correct the error.
