May is National High Blood Pressure Education Month, and FAU is partnering with the Boca Raton Public Library to help people reduce their risk of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. In a free presentation, “High Blood Pressure Prevention” with Dr. Leonard Berkowitz, attendees will learn what hypertension is and what causes it; symptoms of hypertension to be on the lookout for; what to eat to reduce their risk of hypertension; and how to treat hypertension.

Dr. Leonard Berkowitz is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is lead physician at the new FAU Medicine Primary Care practice. Previously, Dr. Berkowitz served as a primary care physician at Heart and Vascular Associates and Primary Care Medical Associates in New Jersey and at Medical Associates in New York.
