The National Weather Service predicts the temperatures to drop below 40 degrees/F and/or wind chill of < 35 degrees/F or lower throughout Palm Beach County tonight. In order to protect those seeking refuge from the cold during the overnight period, the Palm Beach County Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management has activated the Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Plan for all of Palm Beach County.
The following cold weather emergency shelters will be opening beginning at 7:00pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2018; and will close at 7:00am on Thursday January 4, 2018:
Transportation to shelters will be via Palm Tran. Pick up will be at one location in Boca Raton: SE 1st Street and S Federal Highway, at 6PM and again at 7:30PM
