Mayor Scott Singer presented the City Clerk's Office with a proclamation at the May 7 City Council Workshop. The proclamation proclaims May 6 through May 12, 2018 as Municipal Clerks Week.
City Clerk Offices around the country are among the oldest of public servant services and are a vital part of local government. The Municipal Clerk's Office acts as a link between the citizens and local governing bodies and the agencies of the government at other levels in order to deliver accurate information, act as the official keeper of all municipal records, organize and present agendas and minutes at all board and City Council meetings as well as to oversee local elections.
The City Clerk's Office has approximately 110 years of combined service to the City of Boca Raton.
Susan Saxton, City Clerk; Diane King, Assistant City Clerk; Kathy Maxwell, Customer Service Specialist accepted the proclamation.
