In accordance with Federal and State requirements, the Utility Services Department routinely monitors the City's drinking water for contaminants and unless otherwise indicated in the report, the information in this report is based on the monitoring period of January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. The report contains a table listing substances detected in the drinking water along with the maximum contaminant level (MCL) or the highest level allowed by regulation, the ideal goals for public health, the amount detected, the usual sources of such contamination for each of the substances along with footnotes explaining their findings and a key to units of measurement. The MCLs are set at a very stringent level by the EPA.
