Improvements to be constructed at the interchange of Glades Road and Florida’s Turnpike include widening the exit ramp from the northbound Turnpike to Glades Road to two lanes, adding an additional right turn lane from the Turnpike exit ramp to westbound Glades Road, and adding an auxiliary lane on the northbound Turnpike. Work also includes painting the existing Turnpike bridge over Glades Road and improvements to signage, pavement markings, signalization, lighting and drainage.
It is anticipated that the project will cost $8.3 million and construction is expected to be completed in summer 2018.
