Boca Raton, FL – In commemoration of Veterans Day and in recognition of all military personnel who have served this country, the City of Boca Raton will host a FREE Veterans Day Observance “Honoring All Who Served,” open to the public, on Thursday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real.
The official ceremony, set for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., will include a musical processional performed by the Ft Lauderdale Highlanders, the Boca Raton Community High School NJROTC, and the Boca Raton Police and Fire Honor Guards, with a musical performance by the Boca Raton Community High School Band.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Veteran Resource Fair will feature a dozen veteran resource organizations providing veterans and their families with information to both assist with and alleviate common challenges often encountered after military service.
A free lunch from 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. is also being offered for veterans in uniform or presenting military ID. There is a $5 suggested donation for all others wishing to dine.
Krescendo Brass, with two trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba and percussion, will perform American and patriotic music from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Seating and chairs will be available for attendees at no charge. There is limited, free parking for Veterans in the lot adjacent to the amphitheater. Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the venue. No coolers or outside alcoholic beverages permitted. The event is rain or shine.
