1. How do I know if this is the service area of the City of Boca Raton or Palm Beach County?: The service area of the City of Boca Raton does not extend past the Turnpike.

2. What should I do if I discover a discrepancy in the field versus City provided information (meter number, meter location, address, backflow unit serial number, etc.)?: Please contact Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) at 800-414-4990 and notify them of the discrepancy so they can update the City’s database accordingly. BSI may also be contacted through their website.

5. How do I become a certified backflow tester with the City of Boca Raton?: Plumbers or testers must register with Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) and submit copies of their plumbing license (for installations), backflow test/repair certification, and current calibration of equipment. Registration can be performed on the BSI website.

6. Who manages the Backflow Program?: The City of Boca Raton has contracted with Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) to manage the backflow inspection program. BSI has experience managing similar programs for other municipalities across the country. BSI will serve as the primary point of contact for backflow inspections within the City of Boca Raton and can be contacted at 800-414-4990 or through their website. 7. How can I receive notifications?: Customers with known devices will receive a notification/reminder letter directly from Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) that testing is due. Once the annual inspection is complete, the testing company will enter that information directly into BSI’s online reporting system. If annual testing is not received, customers will receive notification that their testing is past due. These notifications will also include the last tester of record for your device(s).

8. How can I find a plumber authorized to perform backflow testing in Boca Raton?: Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) will only accept backflow certifications from plumbers or testers that have registered with BSI and have submitted copies of their plumbing license (for installations), backflow test/repair certification, and current calibration of equipment.

9. Where do test reports get submitted?: Test reports must be submitted to the City’s authorized backflow contractor, Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI). Reports must be submitted by the testing company. A unique Customer Confirmation Number (CCN) is provided to each water customer by BSI. The testing company inputting the test results must have this number in order to submit results.
