    The Business Improvement District Steering Committee (BID) is comprised of 5 members who currently serve on the Downtown Boca Raton Advisory Committee (DAC). The BID was established to investigate the feasibility of a Downtown Boca Business Improvement District in order to provide a supplemental method of making municipal improvements in the downtown. Such improvements include, but are not limited to, promotion and marketing, parking options and a transportation/shuttle system.

  1. Art Exhibit: "Elements of Art & Life" by Galal Ramadan

    The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to present an art exhibit by Galal Ramadan: “Elements of Art & Life.” Visitors to the Downtown Library will view a variety of colored-pencil drawings in a photo-realistic style. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Galal Ramadan emigrated to the United States in 1985 and now resides in Boca Raton. His artwork reveals his fascination with natural and cultural matters, along with his appreciation of basic elements of art and life. These beautiful images reflect the artist’s attention to the minutest details and love of color. “Elements of Art & Life” will run from September 1–November 9, 2018, at the Downtown Library, an Art in Public Places venue, at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.

  3. National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) Kickoff Party (Ages 9-14)

    Prepare for National Novel Writing Month in November by discussing writing ideas with each other. The instructor will aid in brainstorming themes, characters, and settings. Start writing a short story on a topic of your choice. Share your writing at a follow-up class next month.
