The Education Task Force reviews the status of City public school facility capacity, construction and renovation and reports their findings and recommendations to the City Council. The Task Force is comprised of seven (7) members who are City residents, at least three (3) of whom have children attending public school, grades K-12, in the City.

The Planning and Zoning Board monitors and oversees the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Plan. The Board holds public hearings twice monthly to hear all matters pertaining to development within the City and makes recommendations to the City Council.

The Environmental Advisory Board provides advice to the Planning and Zoning Board and to the City Council on the environmental impact of proposed development, including public works, within the City's jurisdiction, and recommends ways in which adverse environmental impacts might be minimized.

The Boca Raton Public Library presents a new art exhibit, “Out of This Planet,” by Agata Ren. Visitors to the Art in Public Places area of the Downtown Library will be able to view a variety of bold art pieces featuring endangered animals and flowers. Ren says, “Just like a portrait of a person captures a moment and keeps the image alive, I like to immortalize endangered animals in my artwork.” This free exhibit is open during regular library hours.

Socrates Cafe gatherings are held around the world, where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences. Persons attending gatherings engage in a common quest for a better understanding of human nature, and in the process strive for a more inclusive world. Socrates Cafe gatherings are free and open to any member of the public who wishes to freely discuss a question which is chosen by vote.

Florida Atlantic University’s Oge Marques, Ph.D., will introduce the new discipline of human augmentation, an interdisciplinary research field that includes contributions from many areas of knowledge, including artificial intelligence (AI). He will focus on healthcare applications of the technology that can lead to better patient care and outcomes, as well as research on the use of AI in radiology to improve diagnostic and treatment decisions.
