The Boca Raton Public Library and the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County join Jumpstart's national Read for the Record, which brings together millions of adults and children around the world each year to read the same book on the same day to raise awareness about early literacy. A member of City Council will read this year's book, a beautiful, lyrical story about a girl who moves from her home in Central America to the United States, and everything she leaves behind and longs for -- especially her abuela -- as she makes a new life. Enrollment required.

Molly Gray, a hotel maid, struggles with social skills and misreads the intentions of others.
