Captain Sean Flynn began his career with the Boca Raton Police Services Department in 1999. Prior to becoming a police officer, Captain Flynn served in the United States Coast Guard from 1992-1999. Captain Flynn spent the majority of his police career assigned to the Investigative Services Bureau as a detective in both the Organized Crime Unit and Special Investigations Unit.
In 2013 Captain Flynn was promoted to the rank of sergeant. As a sergeant, he supervised various night shift Road Patrol squads and later served as the Crime Prevention Unit Supervisor.
During his tenure at the department Captain Flynn has received numerous awards to include: The Lifesaving Award, Meritorious Service Award, Unit Citations, Officer of the Month, and 2011 Police Officer of the Year.
Captain Flynn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Lynn University.
